Inconsistent heating temperature on Mark 6 GTI
« on: 03 April 2018, 18:33 »
Hi all

I've noticed on my 61 plate GTI that if I turn the temperature right up to full, all is fine and it heats the car interior nicely.

If I then turn it down a couple of notches to 24 within a few minutes it blows out cool air, almost cold. There is no discernable difference in temperature between 24 and 20. The car has dual temperature control for driver and passenger side and so far the passenger side seems to be warm still. Will continue with various scenarios like dual on dual off, max temperature for longer, turning right down to low and back up etc but has anyone else had the seem thing?

Thanks as ever.

Theres an interior temp sensor. Its probably covered in dust so causing the issue. Had this happen in my older mk4.
