Daily Mk2 Scirocco Scala slow moving project
« on: 05 October 2010, 20:57 »
Bought this back in April and have made pretty slow progress so far, thought I would start a thread to maybe inspire me to do some more, plus its payday tomorrow!

Here are some pictures to start off with:

How it was when I bought it.

New (temporary) wheels to replace the awkward 17’s

A little lower:

Another set of wheels:

That is how it stands now, got a lot of plans for it just not the time and money. I will take some more pictures in the day when I can.

What a lovely find... nice car!.. jelous.  Shame the previous owner ruined it with a bad ride height and wheel combo.. glad you're seeing to that, other than that, awsome.

thats nice!!

i was looking at roccos on ebay the other day, i want another one so bad!

the late scalas had the k-jet injection engine, whereas my late gt2 (J-reg) had the 90hp carb'd engine, although it flew on a k&n carb

i'd like a real early mk2 rocco, on widened 13" steelies
Don't see many Scirocco's now, looks a good find.

plus most are LOW milage, my old one had about 79k on the clock, and the interior was 100% mint. The engine was the smoothest ive driven. the paint was shocking though, no rust but a bad respray

I don't think a semi will give the same results

Cheers for the comments guys!

It is pretty low mileage just about to hit 99000.

I'd definitely say get one! They are so cheap and fairly little hassle, the only problems i've been having have happened because ive changed something.

I'll try get it cleaned and take a few more pics today.
