Who you planning on going with mate?

I tell ya what I'd be worried about if I went for a spin on that track, brake fade.

Yeh definately worth upgrading your pads, i went with just standard r32 pads on that were part worn and tbh they were far from upto the job after 2 laps

Even with mine upgraded to 312mm up front with EBC discs and pads I still think they'd fade before the end of the first lap!

Me and me m8 are on about going over in my car. Was thinkin about gettin ferry from Hull to rotterdam as its only 30-40 mins drive from me and then stop over first night at my familys just outside rotterdam and then next day drive to the ring, book in at hotel, next day go on the ring and stop over that night, next day head back to rotterdam.

if a few people are interested then would make plans to suit and go as a group, be more of a laugh

Then you're doing it wrong.

Look at the track videos.  There are probably under 10 points where you need a serious haul on the anchors, that's under one a mile. They are as follows:

Aremburg
Adenauer Forst
Kallenhard
Wehrseifen
Bergwerk

Errrrm, that's it, actually.

Your brakes have aeons of time to cool between any large braking points.  If you're cooking your brakes or tyres you really are doing it wrong.

mechanical wise the car is very good, as i do motorway journeys everyday, serviced regular and not running stupid power.

That means nothing.  Get in the bay and have a good check around all of the hoses etc and make sure everything is in REALLY good nick - not perished or rusty.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

i'm by no means quick on the ring but,  for the most part you find your self useing the brake less and less every lap as you learn where that track goes
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

They are going this year and no doubt again next summer too.
Keep us updated with your plans, maybe a few of us may end up there at similar times.
