Strange Problem occurred.
« on: 24 April 2012, 22:10 »
Hay chaps. Basicly driving about tonite. Then suddenly car starts to vibrate everytime I put my foot on the pedal, I almost have to ease it down very very slowley, but like I drive along at 30mph, in 3rd, 2000revs. And the minute I touch the pedal itJust vibrates & juders the car. After 3000revs it seems to
Wear of?

When this happens the Engine Managment light flashes on and off

When car is parked up no warning of tht type of dash lights are one but when it's ticking over it seems to be pretty vibratey. Not comfortable to sit it.

I think it could be a coilpack. Iv got 3 new ones and 1 old old one. :-/

Thanku guys

pull the clip off the coil pack you think it is - if its working right the engine revs should drop if it doesnt do anything then its knackered

when you say vibrate do you mean litulary shaking the car like a vibrator??

if so could be engine mount, dog bone bush, exhaust bracket (as i found this was the reason when mine was vibrating) but as for the EML maybe not..... still worth looking at all these factors

sounds like a failed coilpack especially with the EML flashing
