This is pretty irrelevent to this forum but its something i have noticed.
I'm currently a grade 11 pupil at a prestigious (i say this with a deep frown on my face)  school in Cape Town. Over the years i have noticed changes. Some of these chnages i have faught against and others you cant really stop from happening.

I had a free period today  (which never happens). And decided instead of doing work etc I would stare out the window of the third floor and looked at the cars the matrics were driving and found myself both shocked and surprised. Here is a short list of some of the cars I saw:

1. A Golf GTI (Its a new model with what looks like all the options)
2. Audi A4
3. Old Shape BMW 3 series
4. Renault Clio
5.Some random Fiat.
6. VW Golfs

I'm sorry. But as a 16 year old in todays society i feel this is crazy. What is going on in parents heads? A merc C class for a first car?

wow.  Whats everyones opinions?

A matric is a guy in his final year of high school. Not even in college yet!

If I was 16 again and my folk's said "do you want a Vauxhall Corsa 1.0, or mk5 Golf GTi"?

Hmmm tough one that. I suppose just because someone's young, it doesn't mean they won't appriciate it.

This cutie is only 17yo and drives a NHRA Top Fuel car! [Miss Courtney Force]

But, yes, I do agree that many kids are spoilt by their parents and consequently they don't learn how to value things they have.

....Sounds like the comments one might expect from a spoilt kid.

In my opinion the posted thread is relevant in that it's mentioning types of GTI owners.
