Sorry to disapoint you but I'm not a man, most definetely female.

My previous car was a 2.0 GTI (2000 Model), they are nothing alike, I always found the 2.0 GTI to be gutless, great car around town and comfortable for touring, but not a GTI, should never been given this title, you can't have 2 GTI's in a range.

At the weekend the dealer loaned me their 1.8T (180BHP) GTI, much better car, very impressed with this, handled well and quite rapid.

The R32 is something else, the ride is hard, but its suppose to be, the steering is precise, and it sticks to the road like ............ you get the idea.  Exhause noise is fantastic.  Averaging about 14-16MPG at the moment, but thats my heavy foot  ;D

Just need the snow and ice to clear now so I can give it some around the lanes.

Sorry, just kind of assumed you were male  :)

You are going to be giving the local boy racers a hell of a suprise in that  ;D

Thanks for the car comparison - you will have to get a gold card for your local BP if you carry on like that!!!

JV- I think the local garage will get me my own pump soon.

Seriously though if anyone is really thinking about one of these, they are heavy on fuel, it should only be run on super unleaded, insurance group is 18, and you have to put up with every young boy trying to prove their Saxo is much faster  :)

Ows - you lucked out, already taken!

NJ I saw your R32 at the dealers in High Wycombe. Wow is all I can say! I'm not surprised at all that you are going around with a big grin on your face!

I ordered my R32 on New Years Eve and expect to take delivery of it in the summer! Can't wait!

Jeffers - Definetely worth the wait. ?You will probably find they are a little vague with dates etc but they do generally let you know as soon as they have any more info. ?If you ordered the deepblue like mine you may have to wait a little longer than if you ordered a black or a silver one, they currently only produce 5 blue ones a week for the whole of Europe. ?Definetely add the cruise control, might keep your license a little longer ?:)

NJ - I spoke to Dominic at Rye Mill yesterday and he told me about you taking him out for a spin in your R32! He also told me that I'm number 4 on the list and may move up to number 3! If that is the case my order maybe sent through in April!

Woo Hoo!

Now I just have to decide if I want a Silver R32 or an Anthracite Grey R32.  ???

Oh the pressures of having to chose a colour for your R32!  :P

Shame that the number 32 was never available to buy with R reg plates from the DVLA... R32 DUB has never even been released...
