Not as dramatic as biting, but I had marks from studs on someone's coat on my passenger seat leather. The marks were mid depth arc indentations where the studs had pushed into the leather. I used a hand held steamer to soften the area and then rolled a clean ball over the marks. I used a hockey ball but something like the back of a spoon would be better for a steering wheel. Steam the leather first then rub gently with the spoon or some other small curved object. It took a few goes on mine but all marks disappeared completely. Use a kettle if you haven't got a steamer. Condition with a good leather conditioner afterwards to put back oils into the leather.
