It's a very interesting story but i think it's highly unlikely that the actual car still exists.

Hmmm I am partail to abit of oldstyle dubs. Love beatles, just not the engines. My misses keeps looking at beetles as she wants an old one. Ill stick to the my mk2 til I can afford a splitty of a ghia

Ha one of my mates owned this! This might be a old pic because he had it in this country. Sold it 2 years ago. Don't know what happened to it though.

Always had a soft spot for aircooled stuff. No idea what it stemmed from but decided my first car was to be a Beetle. Owned it for 4 years as a daily driver doing a mini resto on it with the help of my grandad (brought back memories for him as he had one in the 60's). Having another Beetle around rekindled something special for him as he bought another to tinker with through his retirement years  :cool:
