ive crossed over and bought a new car a mk 1 gti

il be honest ive just bought a mk 1 and havent a clue about them ive been looking thru your lots posts,  trying to pick out some of the facts, the first one that poses a prob is i want 2 new rear quarter pannels and they dont seem to be growing on trees.wheres the best place to source these from?ive come across from the aircooled side and like i say dont no where to start,hope you can help shoe horn me in to this modern car scene, :wink:

hi there, you could try e-bay, you can get quite alot of stuff on there but also this german site is really good for parts! i have bought a few things off them, i called them up and they speak english!  :wink:

thanxs bud il give em ago,il keep an eye out on ebay ,but if its owt like the aircooled stuff alot of it sells for more than its worth

the other thing i wanted to mention was that its got a full length sun roof in it,not sure if thats a good thing?are these comon?

sounds like a webasto sunroof, I've seen a few posts about these on mk1s lately

webasto ,thats what it says on the inside ,so i guess it is.its viynl and dosent leek :smiley:when i get sorted il take some pics ,ive not opend  it yet but going of the pics posted on that link its factory fit which is a big bonus
