Title: Anyone lowered their TDI?
Post by: latta1989 on 01 May 2012, 17:29
Hi folks,

Fairly new to the forum.

Just wondering if anyone has lowered their car?

I have a 1.6 tdi match and was considering lowering springs now I have fitted 18" Monza shadows and have a gap in my wheel arch to rival a land rover!

Was thinking H&R lowering springs, I believe they give a 35mm drop.

Any one used them or any others?

Chris

Mine too has the Shadows but it's a GTD which is already lowered a bit, but out of interest let's see a few pics of yours with those shadows on...

I will sort some out pretty soon, not got a photobucket or anything yet so will need to sort that first!

TDI estate lowered using Eiback Pro springs, taken the gap from standard 3 fingers height to about 1, more like a Audi standard stance now, not too low for my DD, ride is a little firmer but not too much, but is now flat around corners and doesn't dive on braking or buck on acceleration. Eiback apparently make OE springs for VW so quality is great.
