Drivers side passenger footwell damp!!!
« on: 07 March 2010, 22:20 »
Hello

I got in my car today to find the carpet in the passenger side was wet. How do I clean the sunroof drains ?? And is there any other reason why it could be wet???

Cheers

Open the sunroof and the drains are in the two corners closest to windscreen. There are also two drains in the inner wings under the front scuttle panel that will need to be checked. The water from them runs to the bottom of the wing and onto the floor. If blocked this could end up in the car.      Cheers      Deano

mine was the same only wet on drivers side, whens its been raining or chuck some water over it, check the door rubber at the bottom, if its really wet then water has built up and ran down in to the foot well, firstly check the trim at the bottom is fitted correctly, then remove the scuttle board and check drain holes mine was bloked with dead leaves, the other reason can be that the windscreen rubber (top reighthand corner) may need sealing

Check the pollen filter and the area under the scuttle panel.

If all the above fails, then take the door cards off. I had to re-seal mine with plastic :(
