Drove it. Lots. All weekend really.
Full tank gone since Saturday lunchtime - 360 miles and 31mpg on computer. Happy miles.

Winter wheels are having sealant applied today (it's a bank holiday and, oddly, it's sunny) before being wrapped up and stored in the shed until it's time to swap over.

I'll probably order a set of Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2s later to replace the car's current (very noisy) Bridgestone Potenzas.  The Potenzas have a decent amount of tread left (around 5mm), so I'll pop them on here/eBay just in case anyone wants them.

New windscreen fitted today by Autoglass due to previously repaired chip cracking. Was done for free under their warranty, but I hope they did a good job!

Never had to get a chip repaired nor have I ever needed a new windscreen in the 9 years ive been driving. Then within 5 months I get 2 chips and a new windscreen. Do you think the 2mm thinner windscreen on the Mk6 has anything to do with it?

I have a chip in my windscreen as well. looks like it's a common issue.

do Autoglass used genuine VW windscreens?

I picked one up last week which means a new screen

I reapplied the front plate as pads had popped so plate edges were setting off the front senors

Bad chip is it? A lot of chips can be repaired.
