Where to buy paint in a can for the best finish.

Well as title need some storm grey paint to do some touch ups on a rusty arch after the repair.

Just want to know what is the best primer to use and where is a good place to buy paint in a can i know halfords can make paint with paint codes but its halfords do i trust them.

can buy kits with paint, primer and laquer in along with wet and dry paper.

not sure how much it is because the vw garage i use has a very friendly girl working on the parts desk occasionally and when i went in to get one i stated i only needed the paint so she opened the pack and gave me the paint for free.
