I think it's amazing! Far surpassed my expectations and then some. It's just so well put together and I've only played it for 6 hours (only... :rolleyes:).
Who else has / is playing it?

I've not got the game just yet, but has someone who has been playing the GTA series from the very first game to GTA 4.. then looking at videos of GTA 5. I can honestly say it's come so much further then I would of anticipated. Can't wait to play the 5th installment!

I got it yesterday, only spent a couple of hours on it so far but first impressions are good. I'll reserve judgement until I've had some proper game time though :grin:

Your judgment will only get better. It's so slick and streamlined with how it works. And the world around you feels like a living world with random things actually happening.

its amazing after 4 which was bad compared to vice city san andreas the best in my opinion was vice city because that really stepped up from the rest cant put this one down tho should start a gti crew when the online goes live

Loved Vice City and San Andreas but thought GTA4 was crap. Starting to like this and the character switching is very cool.

I don't think there's enough missions to be honest, and they're all fairly easy, completed all of them, can't wait until online

My boy says the same - completed in 2 days. At least that might mean I get a go now :rolleyes:

Really? I took me roughly 20 - 25 hours to complete the main story without much fannying around on side missions etc. In my eyes that's a good campaign length.
Then all the additional missions etc, there is loads to do.
Online is just going to take it to completely different level!

Finished the story myself earlier on today.
To be honest I can understand people who say it seemed short. But maybe that's just down to how much of a good experience it was, time flies when having fun

I'm halfway through it and I think it is amazing. ONe of the best so far I have played in my gaming life.

Iv just unlocked that trevor guy, no idea how far through that makes me...?
but i bought my xbox about a year ago, played it for about 6 hours in total over the last 11 months, proberbly played on gta about 15 hours since i got it last week... so imo it must be good...

Bored with the missions already just hope online is not full of dicks like cod who think that being good at computer games equates to skill.......
Also hope you dont need super fast net to stop it lagging

Graphics live up, gameplay and story is brillaint.
Map is small, should really have more features like SA, ie gym, everyone likes customization, the car side its good, but player wise you are very limited, like 3 hair cuts for micheal... really? However Micheal with the long hair and swat gear on does look like solid snake... especially that mission where you have the scuba diving gear reminds me of a complete rip off MGS-1 start point.
I'm not a huge of multiplayer, plus not everyone has internet, so I was hoping more heists at any time would be awesome in single player as the missions are pretty epic, I hate how heists are exclusive to online mode, except the ones in the story.

I think the online is good apart from the loading to me an hour to get to play online.
but the fact you can customize so much online and rob shops do things like you would on single player i haven't yet finished single player but getting there.

I had a pretty epic moment last night.
Was about to go rob a shop, pulled up and realised someone else was already doing it. I decided to wait in the car and beep my horn to get him to get in the car which he did.
Sped off to evade the police which we managed eventually. He got out and tried running away with the cash even though I just helped him! So...I ran the little sh!t over and took the cash myself. :grin:
I'd of quite happily split it but this douche wasn't sharing.
Online is a lot of fun, just takes time to level up and get better things. I'm only level 8 at the moment, but I'm saving for a garage.

m y friend keeps telling me when you are rank 15 there i a mission you can keep doing and earn a lot of money.

Had it about a week or so and am about 50% through the single player, not ventured online yet as been reading about people having issues, would rather wait till its all sorted.
Is there a golfgtiforum crew setup online yet?

i played online for the first time last night it is long winded as you have to do pre missions before a real online free mode and took me 10 mins to connect to the first race you have to do but well worth that wait:).

my brother just told me they are releasing another update today that should sort all the online problems :D

Sweeeeeet!! its just server overload! 15 million people trying to get online = dead servers. :whistle:

I am playing the Online part mainly, which is just a laugh a min in my view, and can also be total chaos carnage :-)

yeh online really good racing not so good and you need to do races to tune cars at a higher level.Just seen on rockstar website every will get 500000 for servers going down people losing characters not sure when cant wait :laugh:

Getting bored of trying to save money, currently on 80k!
Can't get enough of motorbike races on it. Slipstreaming is amazing.

I always struggle to find a good race online i tend to just do missions by my larry lol get my rand up nearly 16 only done like 10 hours online :rolleyes:

I've been really enjoying online. Currently ranked 25, got my own apartment with 6 car garage filled with muscle and sports cars. :evil:
Looking forward to the $500K deposit, will be buying a nicer apartment and will be tricking out one or two rides properly.

I've been playing this and so far have enjoyed it more than GTA:4, GTA:SA and almost more the GTA:VC (that had the 80s/scarface theme going for it).
