Adding an inline filter to metal fuel pipes
« on: 26 June 2018, 13:41 »
Hi Guys,

Bit of a strange one but I currently have a MK1 Gti Kjet engine in a VW T25 campervan. It has an inline fuelpump / accumulator which supplies ful to the engine bay via metal fuel pipes, then a filter on the rear of the fuel metering head in the engine bay.

I will be upgrading to a MK3 AGG engine soon and looking at fuelling. Seems I can keep my higher power pump with no issues but not sure where or what fuel filter to use once the MK1 metering head is removed.

I assume I will need to somewhere go from the metal pipes to rubber hose to supply the AGG fuel, although ideally I would like the entire system metal hose.

Are there any screw type filters I could cut my fuel pipe under the van and connect to? Any unions I should consider? Any way to keep most of the system metal pipe?

Thanks
