insurance can be a pain sometimes
thats why it's always best to have a shop around, a company might have a higher annual premium by a lil bit but there interest rates might be much much lower so you would be better of going with them.
and yes the seperate account is a good idea i do that aswell, i took the stump on my first insurance and left myself skint for a couple of months and ever since then paid money into a seperate account and paid it off in full everytime
and there is usually a bit left over for me to treat myself everytime my insurance goes down
