Exciting news....no.

Here’s the new Vw logo. Inspirational eh?



Current: Clubsport45, white, DCC.

Past: Mk5 gti blue graphite, mk6 gti carbon grey, mk6 gti edition 35 candy white, Mk7 pp gti tornado red, 2016 Audi S3 sportback, 2019 7.5 Golf R.

Gaps between the bottom of the W and the circle would bug me.....

I do wish they would update the font used for the GTI badges. Appreciate it's meant to be a 'throw back' to the seventies, but it looks completely out of keeping with the car.

This should have been released a year ago but everything got knocked back due to WLTP and the production timescale sequencing. Was supposed to launch with MKVIII originally but then ID3 was chosen as seen as a better fit for future positioning.

There are significant cost savings outside of on vehicle badging. It actually looks better in the metal.

You could de-badge it? I think they look great, especially when not silver.

I suppose you could say the gaps at the bottom of the ‘W’ have been introduced to be consistent with the gap between the bottom of the ‘V’ and the top of the ‘W’ - and AFAIK that gap’s always been there.

The evolution of the VW Logo.
It's gone really retro, harking back to 1945/60's. Looks even more retro on the car badge. Guess it's following what most brands are doing, getting it a simple as possible. For me though, it's just a bit weedy. Think VW should have been a bit thicker.
