Fitted a new battery to the girlfriends MK5 yesterday after it's been stood unused for the last 4 months or so. All good, took it for a spin, gave it a wash, topped up the fuel so far so good.
Went to start it today, key in ignition and no lights on the dash - just completely blank. Turning the key starts the car then it immediately cuts out. I believe it's an immobiliser problem (radio, headlights etc all work fine) and that I need to get the key recoded (I have the same problem with both keys, neither work) Yesterday it was all fine but today nothing.
Any ideas on the best (cheapest) way to get the keys recoded?
