Title: Shoutbox/Chatbox

Shoutbox/Chatbox that can be added to the main index.php of the boards (above).

So we can all talk quickly to each other instead of posting.

Probably been requested before or you guys already have one but did a search and couldnt find any info anywhere.

the chat box idea i do not like at all!

Give a couple good reasons why not to add the Chatbox?

It brings the user together as a community, and of course forum rules apply (links, language etc.. not tolerable)

I think you should run it for a month or so, see what the users think.

Just trying to make things better  :smiley:  I am an admin at another forum with over 100K members.

your picture is a great example of why a chatbox is a bad thing.

Nothing in that chatbox makes sense and people just talk sh!te on it.

Yea sorry that was a bad example.

My boards are quite quiet atm.

But I mean, I would rather quickly ask someone in the chatbox about a problem then start another thread. It gets rid of the "1 post answer" threads that clutter the forum.

99% of it will be utter junk, so for the very few examples of it being useful I would rather not bother. The old chat system we had on here demonstrated this perfectly.

I did use it, You Search "Chatbox" in all the forums and see what you come up with.
