mk4 gti 2.0 missfire cylinder 1 (2003) 101k
« on: 18 March 2015, 20:11 »
hi my golf has developed a misfire on cylinder 1 ,have previously replaced .lambda 1&2 new cat ,new plugs, new coil and new leads ,diagnostic report says coil is being recharged on cylinder 1 to cause misfire ,anyone have any ideas whats causing this .
Is it a problem with wiring loom between coil and ecu or could it be the ecu itself.
the problem started with a misfire at 3200 revs and the ecu light flashing,i had the cat changed because it was below threshold, drove home and it was fine, next day drove 200 yards and its miss firing got a diagnostic done and the result is random cylinder misfire, now its cylinder 1 is being recharged.
any help would be great.

Diagnostics have shown its a faulty NEW ht lead.A new set has sorted out the problem.
