Golf gt 16v (possible oetinger) minor arch repairs and painting

Well it's took me nearly 2 years to get back in one and although she isn't oak green I'm chuffed to bits.

Car has full service history part main dealer part vw specialist, has had a lot of work done to her and have to full box folders full of receipts every tax disc from new and every mot. No rust on her anywhere that I can see. Oh and originally the previous owner suspected she had a oetinger engine but manifold wasn't present, but there is a dealer receipt mentioning this and a rolling road graph from 2008 showing 156bhp @ the wheels.

anyway few quick pics. She needs a really good wash Clay and Polish and the octavia interior replacing for original along with all the silly Wolfsburg window winders ect.




Oh and she only cost me £1100 which I think is a bloody bargain

Well just fitted her original interior back and found a key under the front seat.

think it will look better without the vrs seats. Infact I don't like them in my vrs so i def wouldn't want them in my mk2!

Vrs seats have gone mate she now has the original tartan seats she came out of the factory with. Its a shame the glove box lid has been replaced found a receipt last night showing a new one being purchased, so if mine did have a oetinger badge I bet it's lost now  a wonder if replacements can be had.

i wouldn't worry for what its worth have only seen 2 with badges inside (they did a speedo too with oettinger on) the rest have been like mine oettinger badgless so to speak.

have seen badges, external and internal. I used to have an oettinger keyring on my keys, but that went missing one day then i noticed ages later so couldn't even start to look for it

Well the deep cleaning started today first job was to inspect the state of my sills as my last mk2 had totally gone under the 90spec skirts, and my oak green previous to that had bubble appearing.

So bearing in mind she is approaching 200k miles soon and has been converted to big bumper a was expecting a right mess. Well I really wasn't expecting this 






I will check the state of the arches under the trim next weekend but really tempted to ditch the 90 kit and take her small bumper with cl trim
