You may struggle as not having your own insurance means you were not really covered.

You ring the insurance and you are a cheese.
Get rid of the car since they're not worth that much,
you go through insurance and it will DEFINITLY be a write off and you may be penalised.
Lose the car at the scrap yard and buy another cheapy.

Gutted for you mate
Looking at the pics the worst is the rear quarter and the wheel looks like its out of line.
best to break it,or sell as spares on flee bay.
Cut your losses now,get what you can and buy another.

What if he's done it legally?

I'm on my dad's policy, my car, registered to him. He drives it far, far more then me and I'm only on it for a month.

Well, that is 100% written off. Mk3's get written off or paintwork damage.

As said by others, Id not bother going through the insurance, you'd have excess to pay, wouldnt get much for it and then future premiums will increase.

hey guys, excess is gnna be £600 but i am going through insurance as this is legitmately me and my dads kinda project car ....... he has a company car which is boring so we have this to have fun with

went back a couple weeks ago and borrowed it for a week ..... as im named driver, dad is claiming and as insurance on that will be cancelled anyway we are gnna see what we can get for it ...... if i can get a £k then at least i make £400 you know? all goes towards a new car

and the best part is, as I'm not claiming, he is, i wont have anything against my name

p.s i was actually doing forty but i spun on some frosty ice stuff in the forest covered road area span it and slammed into a huge post, gutted huh?

at least the po-lice didn't see, i didn't hit anyone else, and i'm not majorily hurt ..... just a pain in the arse

im thinking beemer 318ti (190) :P
