Title: A few pics of my Red Mk7.5 with OZ Wheels and Eibach Pro Kit.

Hope you all like it

I'm really pleased with the wheels, and they make such a difference to how it drives, it just seems to fly now

By the way, those wheels weigh 18 kg each with tyres, the Parkers weigh 22 kg with tyres.

so thats 16kg of un sprung weight less  really makes a difference.

apparently for every 1kg of unsprung weight saved, it like reducing the chassis weight by 8kg...

So my car is now 128 kg lighter

Looking great there Jeff, especially being 3dr TR  I do think there's a good case for black mirror caps though...

I think the case for mirror+roof is even stronger than it was before if anything! Looks great mate :)

Honestly the red ones look better with these wheels.. but the black ones look better with the standard wheels..

The other thing is, I wish had the Performance brakes as those calipers with the red GTI cover plate look so much better.

Didn't matter before as you could hardly see them through the Parker wheels...

I would agree about the roof if the wheels were gloss black or silver :)

And I'm also thinking about wheel spacers for the rears...only 5 or 10mm...the fronts look ok but the backs are a bit too "in"

Looks good Jeff. Love the colour of the wheels; you can’t beat a nice set of anthracite / gun metal coloured alloys. They go really well with Tormado Red.

It looks as if you don’t have locking wheel bolts on your wheels; was your insurer OK with that? When I fitted my wheels and declared them to my insurer, they needed me to confirm I had locking bolts fitted before they’d confirm cover, although having locking bolts don’t necessarily mean your wheels are safe from determined light-fingered scumbags. Also, worth checking with your insurer that they’re happy with you fitting spacers, as some insurers are a bit iffy about spacers.

Jeff,

Quick question - are your new wheels/bolts cone seat?

If so, what locking wheel bolts have you got arriving? Without giving the game away, I need a set myself.

Hi Gnasher...

I've got Mcguard wheel locks, they seem to be the best, about £30 from an Ebay seller.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/diycarserviceparts

The specs are; M14 x 1.5mm and then whatever thread length you want. The standard length for Parker alloys is 25mm. And yes cone seat.

Funnily enough I've had to order two sets :( one set at 35mm length as this what my new wheels need, and also another set at 45mm because I've just ordered a pair of 11mm Forge spacers for the rear wheels.

So what I might do is put two locking bolts on each wheel for even extra security :)
