insurance dilemma
« on: 24 January 2014, 16:37 »
I am looking at getting a new car before selling my existing one- I am going to just change the details on the existing insurance policy, but this will mean the car being sold will not have insurance for a test drive etc. Has anyone got any tips for what to do for test drive cover?

the insurance is easy, one day cover for you. BUT it wont cover others even if they got third party liability ( check ya small print, easily caught out on this one )

BUT, one other thing to consider, as soon as you Un insure it, you got 14 days to cash the tax in  failing that you can be fined  :lipsrsealed:

Cheers chuff- so for people with the 'drive other vehicles with owners permission' clause on their insurance- they won't be covered on the one day policy, is that correct?

So I have 14 days before the car needs to be declared SORN right?
