My vag com turned up today works fine but my fault code not in the book. So had to print codes of auto data on boss's computer its in there.

Looks like i am going to have to buy the proper lead,how much is the lead off rosstech ?.

Im still having this issue, have installed vag com on my old vista laptop got a cable and every come port test says the port is inacessable. Com port 3 says "status 5 - modem"

Any help be amazing

uninstall everything!!reboot -  plug your lead in and let windows update find the drivers. it take a while and a few attempts of reboots etc but works in the end. 

I've had to do the same process on my last 2 laptops

i have uninstalled it all and reinstalled but ran out of time to plug it back in so will plug it back in tomorrow fingers crossed.
