ive had my cab bout 3 weeks or so now and i dont think ive been above 60 yet, just kinda mooch about with the roof down looking good, that will all change soon when the 1.8 20v turbo lump goes in, baaaawwwwwwwwppppppppppp tish!!!!

it definately goes in cos theres a couple of pics of a purple one on demonvw.co.uk, and theres a local vw specialist says he could do it no probs.

Golf on 20's,

If you go ahead with the 1.8 turbo into your ragtop make sure you keep us posted on progress. I considered doing it to mine, but have now moved the idea to the pipedreams section as there are too many other things in my life right now costing far too much money-including a driveway to park the old girl on!

Good luck if/when you go for it.

By the way, with regard to the 0-60 times, 15 secs feels fast with the roof down, especially on a cold day! I have know idea what my 1.6gli does it in.

hi mate, its all in progress at the moment, just sourced an 1.8T engine box and loom, just need to get my couple of tuning bits and bobs like dump valve, cams ect ect , but will let you know of any progress as it happens
