Right just been perusing the mk2 section and a lot of people ask for part numbers. So here is my thought, everyone put their request in here for part numbers (for mk2s - pm the model mods in other sections if you want a similar idea in the mk1,3,4,5 sections) and whoever can help put the part number and item description in reply. Then once a week i will come and tidy it all up so we have a comprehensive list of part numbers for commonly asked for parts, in a nice tidy thread.
cheers

191 837 273 - rip plate - left - £3.07
191 837 274 - rip plate - right - £3.07
Basically what you do is unbolt the door lock block, and it slips into the hole. They only go in one way, which becomes obvious when you do it as there are 2 holes in it that the bolts pass through :)
As you know, quoted prices don't include VAT
-
The slim jim plates are listed for:

90-92 Golf/Jetta (must have been a later part, it will defo fit earlier MK2s as well)
88-97 Passat/Santana
To be clear these arn't the Armour Door Plates you get which fit around the outside door handles, these go inside the door and protect the lock mech from Slim Jims :)

any idea what the part number is for the hose wrapped in gaffer tape and israeli handcuffs in the picture below
(http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a122/jamesie78/DSC00003.jpg)
heater matrix hose ^^^^^^
191 819 373 D (to be cut to length)
-
GSF is the best place for these, I'd remove the bypass valves altogether:
18004 HEATER HOSE (FEED) 8v - £9.45
18004B HEATER HOSE(FEED) 16V - £11.50
18005 HEATER HOSE (RETURN) All - £9.45
If you don't want to bin the valves you can just buy the required hose and cut to length :)

FAO: Stan Deezy
1. If its blue, has 2 pins and is a push fit into the coolant hose flange on the front of the block, then its famous blue sender, see part number earlier in this post :) If it has a screw thread, then I THINK its this one:
035 919 369 M - thermal switch, white, digifant - £25.19+VAT
2. 171 121 407 F - Square tank - £23.29+VAT
1H0 121 407 A - Round tank - £26.95+VAT
3. 443 121 321 - Square tank cap - £8.78+VAT
1H0 121 321 C - Round tank cap - £5.42+VAT
4. With a bit of fiddling yes, the brackets are different. The old bracket is spot welded to the suspension turret and the new bracket bolts on. The level sender plug is different also so you'll need to chop one off a later VW and solder it onto your loom.
5. If you mean hoses from GSF, mine have been fine for nearly a year now, cant see any degredation. From VW:
191 819 373 D - Return hose - £14.82+VAT
191 819 371 E - Feed hose - £16.80+VAT

V191 711 173 B Relay Shaft (this is that lampost shaped bit with the rubber ball that hangs off , often find it disintegrates and just leaves a star edged plastic bit , gives massive sloppy movement on gearstick forward and backwards) costs 30.46 ex vat.

two of them end with 717 and 718 (rears i think) and two end with 817 and 818
ok found this
16V Flares/skirts(Same as G60 in Europe)
191-853-717-D - LF Arch (****replace D with "C" for 8v arches)
191-853-718-D - RF Arch
191-853-817-D - LR Arch (these 2 have g60 on them)
191-853-818-D - RR Arch ("       "      "   "   )
how do i know if there g60 or 16v? just seems the front two look narrower than the rear two , im guessing they are g60 as all of them end with the letter 'D' and this is the american reference which they didnt have small bumper models so 8v arches are the same a our 16v arches and these ones are all g60 arches, can some one confirm that the above numbers are g60 arches?
-
191-853-717-D - G60 front left Arch - £20.93
191-853-718-D - G60 front right Arch - £20.93
191-853-817-D - G60 rear left Arch - £34.27
191-853-818-D - G60 rear right Arch - £34.27
191-853-717-C - Normal big bumper front left Arch - £20.93
191-853-718-C - Normal big bumper front right Arch - £20.93
191-853-817-C - Normal big bumper rear left Arch - £34.27
191-853-818-C - Normal big bumper rear right Arch - £34.27
8vs & 16vs both got the smaller arches, only the G60 got the larger ones.
The reason for the confusion is that in the US they didn't get the G60, instead they got a 2.0 16v which was fitted with the G60 kit :)
-
ah cool thats good then , thanks rubjonny , all the bits i have match those codes you posted
191-853-717-D - G60 front left Arch - £20.93
191-853-718-D - G60 front right Arch - £20.93
191-853-817-D - G60 rear left Arch - £34.27
191-853-818-D - G60 rear right Arch - £34.27
so ive got the g60 stuff. :)
off topic , its about time some one compiled all these numbers and applyed it to one post imo , i know slick said he was going to but dunno if hes on much anymore , so i might sort that out on monday if a moderator can adjust this thread once ive done so :)

I think I know what you mean, number 16? Heres a part # breakdown:
14 - £0.24+VAT x2
15 - £0,24+VAT x2
16 - £2.17+VAT x2
Or if you actually want to take the cup off and replace the seal behind it, you need the 'repair kit' #27 which is £8.70+VAT.
I've never seen a driveshaft seal actually fitted to a car I've worked on, but they do exist in ETKA :)

-
1H0 711 183 - mk3 weighted shift rod - 11.29+VAT
-
1H6 955 651 - washer pump - 27.86
Looking at that part number it might be a MK3 item, which has a different plug on it. ETOS notes you also need:
357 972 752 - flat contact housing - 3.95
357 972 741 A - single wiring seal - 0.39 x2
which seems to support that assumption. GSF will probably be able to sort you out with one, see if they have ones with the non-return valve in! You can tell it has by looking at the output pipes, the nr valve is a big round blobby bit on there...

the above is a chassis number break, which occured around august 91 :)
edit: but you cant know for sure what year your tailgate is, so best to measure the hole (and check there still is one )

oem MK2 ones discontinued, but SEAT part fits and is cheaper:
357 615 311 A - 280mm brake splash shield - 5.65+VAT
-
191 947 561 - MK2 golf boot light switch - deleted
might be worth a call anyway, I assume the part number has been replaced rather than dropped completly.
-
the double stud is not avail seperately :(
nut is 171 857 026 A, but discontinued. its only an M5 nut with a built in shoulder though, so easy to get. VAG might be able to quote a replacement part number if you give them the old number though.
If you mean the bolts with a bit of threadlock on that are 13mm and go into the slider pins, its 321 615 141 and that works for front & rear. again its deleted though, but VAG should be able to quote you a replacement number. If you go for 443 698 470, thats the part number for 2 of rubber slider pin boots, this will include special slider pin grease and also should come with 2 new bolts also. Yet again this number seems to be deleted, but VAG should be able to give you the replacemnt part number for it.

same part numbers as MK3, so should be plentiful in scrappy

-
Looking for clarification on this part 192 612 105 C does anyone know if it's a 20mm master cylinder or 22mm
-
thats a brake servo, not a master cylinder. the master cylinder will have 20 or 22mm stamped on it somewhere
