I've got a RCD510 headunit on order for my '07 GTi (to replace existing RCD300). I've had a look at the canbus and its part number is 1K0 907 530K. From what I've read I'll suffer the battery drain issue.
Am I right in thinking that the last letter of this part no. is the revision number, and that what I need is a canbus numbered 1K0 907 530L (or higher final letter)?
I realise that after fitting I'll need someone to access it electronically and tick the boxes as needed for my specific car, if anyone knows a well regarded independent in Surrey that can do this for sensible money that would be good!
