im sorry guys but i think that my boot install beats all of yours hand down. all those that saw it at brands hatch will back me up on this. bloody fantastic it is :grin: :grin:

I ond't think pictures could do this install justice - it's truely a 1 off, you won't see another golf with anything like it! I think someone did take a pic though - hopefuly it'll be up soon.

Amp lieing on the floor with loads of wiring, i didnt see any amp and scruffy wiring when i looked. It looked pretty tidy in the boot!!!!! Almost as tidy as my front room

ok guys and gals here it is, it something of a wonder how it works.
its made up of a sony head unit, a 12" warrior sub........and the 2 speakers from my bedroom stereo. and thats it!!!!
i have no amp powering anything, it all runs off the head unit. i have been told that it shouldnt work due to the ohm resistance (i think thats what i was told) but it does. and it doesnt sound too bad either!!!!

you can get in-line low pass/high pass filters which remove the high or low frequencies. try ebay :wink:

maplin do a low pass for subs for £7

obviously you going for the saving weight idea as its a thourgh bread race car you have there... no amp is one clever way of saving weight.
