My boy is doing a 1.8T conversion in his MK2 Jetta (Or should I say I am)

The question is whats the best place to go for insurance. He is 20 with 2 years no claims.

How far away from 21?  A lot of the modified brokers will become much more competitive at 21+.

Ive got my golf on adrian flux but thats only because heritahe never got back to me with a quote. Problem is itll be on mosified insurance not classic as there will be more than 5nmodifications. Not a bad thing though.
As already said 21 will be more competative
