Installing Electric windows
« on: 03 May 2003, 22:53 »
Dcided a power hood was more important to me than elecy windows when i got my Clipper cab.

However I would like to fit some in. Is it better to get an aftermarket kit, or get some out of an existing golf (if so, which mark is better? Or is it better to get one out of a clipper)?

Also how much grief are they to fit? I would like to get the, but have spent out of alloys, so dont have the readies to shell out a bomb for the windows/fitting.

Any tips gratefully rec'd!

:-/

I have a mk II Golf GTI 16v and have fitted elec windows, these were fitted when I purchased but not installed as standard. Although I didn't fit them myself I have all the paperwork of where and when and costs. I'm glad it was done and it looks smart on the dash. I'll get the details, see if it's any help and get back to you.

:)
