i wouldn't go wider that 8". you can stretch the standard tyre on that rim no bother but anything above will be a bit much

standard 18" are 7.5" but not many aftermarket wheels come in that size but 8" would be fine - your standard tyre size will fit and it won't rub.

Guess I'll have to buy tyres as well as believe what's on there are 17s?
