Excellent job! I need to invest in a decent ceramic coating sealant or lok into a good recommened detailer.

There’s certainly excellent choices of ceramic coatings. Some are pro only application, such as Gtechniq Crystal Serum, but plenty can be applied yourself (with some care) such as Gyeon coatings.  I guess it depends whether you prefer to have the car sorted by a pro detailer or have a go yourself.  I’m in the latter category and wax is my pref, but whatever you choose, a good choice of protection and importantly, good prep, will make the car much easier to maintain.

Exterior sorted, turned my attention to the interior today, which was in a bit of need!

Fantastic shine on the paintwork.  Do you still use the Blue Velvet Pro wax?

Not used Blue Velvet for a few years now, though it’s a great wax. Last few years I’ve been using a variety of different Swissvax waxes (Onyx; Best of Show; Crystal Rock; Shield).  Currently using SV Crystal Rock wax with occasional top up of SV Lotospeed QD. Pricy but a 50ml pot lasts a long long time.

A lot of the shine comes from thorough cleansing with good pre wash products and a good shampoo. Then decent wax to bring out the flake and add extra gloss.

Booth, can you tell me where I might find one of those metal folding stools?

It’s a Draper one I got from Amazon. Really useful, great for wheel work and lower level work, has two levels (you just flip it over) and folds flat.  Very robust, had mine 3 years now and still as strong as ever.

Thanks for that Rebecca, looks more robust than the two plastic ones I have, neither of which take much abuse.

A wash and clean over the weekend with some Fusso applied, the first time I’ve used it and so far I’m impressed. Beading this morning and later on.

Picked up 03/Nov/2017 - GTi-P, White silver, 5dr., Manual with extras

Wash day today making the most of the break in the weather. It was still pretty clean after the last effort but I wanted to get it tidy before we go on holiday to Yorkshire on Friday. Once clean a spray with FinishKare QD and gave the exhaust tips a polish. The tyres got a spray and buff up too.
