Ok thanks bud! Just wondered incase theres a company that makes them for various cars. From Audi its £300 for either wood or black trim (I want to replace the wood with black)

get some cans from Halfords and spray it

Won't that look and feel really crap though?

I did think about covering it in vinyl

not if you sand it back, prime and then spray a few of the Mk4 lads have done this with good results 

Hmm, I haven't had much luck in the past with spraying stuff.. only ever had crap results so never really bothered. Might just get some random bits of plastic to try on first because im 99% sure I will stuff it up if I try it on the actual trim first off! And having messy trim will be worse than the wood!

No luck I'm afraid Dec. Jiffy bags had several names on them but none for trim stuff!

I think I will give vinyl a try as I have some sat at home anyway. I'll just heat it up, spray some water + fairy liquid combo everywhere and see how it comes out. It should come off easy enough if it doesnt go right anyway. At least that way if it is unsuccessful, it won't damage the trim and I can just put it back to how it was

Nah, I'd be more than happy with 190bhp in a Passat.

Fitted the glovebox with help from Billy! 
Also swapped the wood trim which was a bugger! Well I had problems with the facia, then Billy had problems with the ashtray! 
Picked up a 4 spoke steering wheel friday eve so that will be done next weekend.
