Cheers JV

Right this is my 1st MK4 after moving away from a few mk3 of the last few years, mine last been GTI 8v

So on to the current and new toy,

Its a 99 1.8t AGU, Jazz blue, FVWSH, 125k on the clock and the winter pack

Droped into the local stealers where last few services have been done and had a chat with them about the car and they said that car has in the last 2-3 years has just about everything replaced from exhaust to bushes and also had its cam belt and water pump done at the start of the year so im happy

The only thing wrong was that it was missing the cap from the front bumper where it covers the washer for headlights and a few stone chips on bonnet and a broken driver side sun visor and rear ashtray was broken aswell, so overall a very tidy and well looked after car

This the only pic i have at the moment as i cant find my cam

So i thought i would do a oil & filter change last weekend which should only no more then a hour for a quick drop oil, filter off and new one on and and some fresh oil put. Filter off is where it all went wrong    now ive done uncountable oil changes over the years but never came across one so tight it bent 2 screwdrivers & snap oil filter chain  so 4hr late and in darkness and numb(rained all day) i called it a night, following day the soon to be farther-law came around with a 2ft stake   so out comes the hammer and we set to on the filter, 20min this is the result  sorry for poor pic
