hoses
« on: 17 July 2012, 14:57 »
got the opportunity to get my N249 bypass done this weekend and ordered the parts, mate down VW is gonna help however i order a 4mm ID silicone pipe and a 5mm T serrated connector, just double checked to the hoses on the "how to" section and its saying 3mm ID pipe and a 4mm T connector, is there any difference? or should it have been the smaller pipes?

many thanks

James

Just replace the hoses under the inlet to goes to the fuel reg, then the other one under the inlet to the DV. You can also "T" into the Inlet/dv for a boost gauge too using the 4mm ID silicone tubing.

Basically most tubing under vacuum is 3 or 4mm id so can be changed.

i was planning on running a gauge after i deleted the carbon canister from the spare valve left over, which one would you recomend then?

if your going to run a boost gauge run it from dv or fpr i find its more accurate from the fpr
