wanted pearl but ive heard bad stories

I'm fairly new to the forum too, but just have to ask that you don't make off-hand statements like this with no follow up. I don't suppose you realise how long it took to make that decision! :undecided:

Only joking mate, good luck with that reversing camera

Lol, sorry, didn't mean to give you any reason to worry, for me the type of paint isn't a concern, just the look and other extenuating factors (ability to respray for damage, etc).

Pearl black looks the balls on a clean car, and I was very very tempted to go for it, but it was an extra, looks pretty similar to flat black when dirty, can be a pain on a panel respray, and just wasn't as deep a shade as flat black IMO (on the two mk6 golfs I compared against)

Again though, on a clean car, I envy you

Oh and sorry for drifting off topic

Are you part exchanging it?  Disconnect the light and leave VW to deal with their own damn mess?

Could be an age. "order with factory" just means the factory has accepted the order. My order was accepted on 5th April and my confirmed build week was 20 weeks later (actually built over 2 weeks after that).
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

You'll have a preliminary build week already - not shown online but your dealer can tell you from looking at their system...

I've just got off the phone to my dealer to discuss a couple of things, while we were chatting he mentioned that my original order of none PP GTI was still coming and should arrive a couple of weeks after mine so mid October :o

He said when he added PP it must've generated a fresh order leaving the original in place, he said they don't mind cos they'll sell it anyway so anyone that wants it give him a call, i didn't get a discount off the price but got a great trade in value.

The details are:

5dr GTI DSG
Pure White
Pan Roof
DCC
Keyless
Rear Camera
Park Assist
Pro Nav

£32195 when ordered. Edited: as that price was with PP.

Interested? Give Ian a call:

Just tell him James sent you!! ;)
