That looks good. Lots of history which is a good sign. It’s got the smaller powder coated alloys, so no issues with white worm corrosion, upgraded stereo (RCD510) and it’s also got the rare xenon headlamps.

Was even considering it myself  :grin:

mine is for sale in 2 or 3 weeks for anyone looking for one,ive just got to get it MOTed and sort a couple little things out
tartan trim
manual
66k
1 previous owner
fsh
engine fully rebuilt at 56k with mahle forged pistons and forged rods, mahle bearings, arp head and main studs and bolts
new chain and revised tensioner and chain  guides and  pretty much everything
got invoices for around £5500 for engine build with every new nut and bolt used documented
also had revised water pump
H+R coilovers (bit low at the min but gonna get them wound up before advertising it for sale),also still got std suspension
set up
pilot sports all round
completely standard otherwise, not even been remapped
was going to be looking for around 9k

No but when you can pick mk7s up for just north of 10k it’s a given mk6 prices will fall

Maybe. But I think Mk6s look better than Mk7s. And they have real handbrakes and stuff which some people do appreciate so I think they'll hold value pretty well.

They might look better in your opinion but the mk7 is leaps and bounds ahead of the mk6 and most are getting near ten years old now so values will drop

ive always preferred the 6 to the 7 looks wise tbh, I reckon the seats in the mk7 are pretty naff compared to the mk6 also
i reckon they will hold their value reasonably well, there doesnt seem many around compared to something like a focus st

Well if you do an eBay search for a mk6 GTI and focus st between 2008 -2010 there is more golfs  :grin:

you must be doing a different search than me, ive got 8 on ebay in total for mk6 gti from 09-12
and over 100 focus sts between 08-13

you talking just uk or worldwide?

Regardless of what search either of us is doing it won’t stop prices tumbling throughout all makes and models unless rare in the current climate
