Hi M8!

The garret T3/t4 foot print is totally different to the KO3,  Is your brothers car a golf 1.8t AGU aswell?  and is the cracked manifold made from cast or tube steel If it is tube I have a mate who can repair them, my calibra manifold goes in every year to be stitched up.

hello

If it is steel then I can get it fixed for you no problem, As with it blowing gaskits this will be down to the face being warped, You can test it with a steel ruler. there is a company close to me called clayfield & Hall who can machine the face for you and make it perfic then a OME gaskit should be fine to use.
