Why would any twenty year old even consider a MB E class?  You have a lifetime in front of you to buy boring cars like that.
The same for M3's, RS4's and other bloated rep mobiles.

Something small and nippy with perfect steering would be just the job.  Save the luxo barges for the time when you have baggage like a mother in law to ferry around.

Not sure about the OP but a lot of these pups are still living at home and aren't paying huge mortgages. When I was that age I bought a brand new Lotus Elan S2 for £27K, that was a lot of money 15 years ago but was still living with parents and fuel was about 30p a litre!
