Title: Brown mud like deposit

Hi guys, I’ve done some internet searching on this & can't find a cause. I live near woods but don’t park the car under trees. I’m getting this mud like deposit spattered over the car. They’re no bigger than the old half pence but get baked on in this heat so are a real annoyance. Anyone have experience of this issue & know what causes it? I just cleaned the car last night & now they’re are a dozen or so of these mud deposits all over it.

Definitely not bird shoite but thought it could be being dropped by birds. Just annoying as it is a scratch hazard & the moment the car is clean it is covered.
