Title: AGU ---> K04 --- > Fuel Pump?
Post by: Purely VAG on 15 April 2010, 19:11
Hey,

I'm rushing to get my K04 setup on the MK4.

Im running an AGU lump, I've just got 1 thing to get my head round, the injectors

Does anyone know what AGU injectors can flow at 4bar ?

Are AUQ ones any larger/same fitment as i have some in garage?

Calibre turbo yellows are 346cc at 3bar, Anyone know how to work out rating for 4bar?

And just looked and it shows a couple of mappers who write software for TT 225 map do it for injectors at 364cc at 3bar and 380cc at 4bar, TT's run 3 bar FPR stock so i need at least that.

If yellows run 346cc 3bar, whats it at 4?

Jrd,

I know how to fit it ect.. but my cousin told me that fitting it will make no difference as if the intank pump is only good for 3 bar then its limited by that. I just want to confirm before trying it

i think i agree with ya cousin there Jord, would make sense as the pick up would come through the standard 3bar pump. However there is a guide somewhere for using a 4bar inline pump and if i remember correctly, you disconnect the connections for the standard pump and it just gets used as a pick up point. the inline pump then supplies the pressure to the fuelling system.

As for injectors the calibra yellow injectors will be ok for around 300bhp and flow enough at 4bar. But another option would be Saab red injectors which are the same fitment as calibra yellows but are rated around 440cc if i remember correctly.

I've just bought some injectors last night. Straight fit and will do for the K04.

Thanks hulmie for the info.

That guide just simply states to plug it in as normal.

Right ok were getting somewhere, im going to mount it as per guide above, seems established you cant go off fusebox wiring as its too much amps for it. I'd buy a loom from USA for the pump but i want it all on next week so theres no time, what relay can i use for the pump ? I'll be wiring it up myself.

http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/any-1-4-a-deal/   = WHAT A BUNCH OF NOBBERS.

I ask him for a K04 turbo, he goes just turbo? Yeah, What engine?, ANY MK1 TT, S3 ect.. He goes Yeah, then says do i need the one with the heatsink, i said doesnt matter its going on a golf mk4. Then says ohh so you need a full package, i said no still just the turbo, so he then changes his mind and says sorry i only sell them as a package. Pi33 off.

They overcharge for everything anyway, 2nd time i decided i "wouldnt deal with them" but they always have something i need lol

What about if i use a pump off a cupra 225 ?

But i'd have to block the extra feed, does that defeat the point?

LCR pump is straight fit dont need to block off any feed as they  only got one feed anyway .....  if u the 4bar fuel pump then therers no need to firt the in-line pump as they both do the same thing....
