R-Tech AUM 1.8t launch control (Video now added)
« on: 23 September 2010, 22:30 »
been with the R-Tech lads today and seen yet another R-Tech develpment, the 1.8t launch control which i think is the first in the uk without adding extra hardware. basically its an add on to the ecu map and works very well but still being developed even more by nick.

i will get a video of it working tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled

Here is the video

The ASR button is going to be an extra part of the traction control it will be summat else special...lol  The idea behind this is to use all the rpms and power without or very little wheel spin by using the ramp times/acceleration km/h speeds. I am sure the ASR part of the traction control will be a fisrt.

Being sad and sitting here at 1am looking to see if we can do launch control of some kind for the AGU, and I have just come up with this > geschwindigkeits abhangige drehzahlquantisierung wandlerschutz
fahrtrichtung..
Which looks like and rpm limiter dependent on low speeds, 0.0  to 39.7km/h which are all set to 6920rpm  and I think if I set 0km/h to 2.5km/h to a lower rpm limit we can make some sort of launch algorithm depending on how the fuel/ignition cuts off... :smug:

I need a victims car to test it on..

Nick

it dont sound good for the poor agu engine...when i moved from ford ....i saw a turbo golf for sale ,i look on the internet and saw one was 180 bhp standard ...so i thought that what they all where ...trust me to get the slower one ...but at least the engine has less faults and bigger inlet ..shame about the turbo ..good point we can run dump valves
