i have just fitted a new set of clocks that I got of eBay all the gauges work perfectly so im happy with that but i want to get the mfa to work the mpg reads low 20s all the time but moves the oil temp reads-- all the time what can i do?

Accept the reality like the other 95% of us with MFAs that don't work  :laugh:

Vacuum leak for the MPG would be likely. Unsure about the oil
It's a mk2. Fill it, drive it, enjoy it.  :smiley:

Usually a vac leak in the pipe to the back of the clocks for the MPG (or maybe only doing 20mpg if you do very short journeys), oil temp is probably a duff sender on the top of the oil filter housing or a break in the wiring from it, of course the break may be internal in the clock's printed circuit?

I only do short journeys so 25mpg should be right. As for the oil temp I have wiring going to the sender but nothing is connected and I can't see the connector for it
