I share an office with an architect and everything is viewed with the 'architect's eye'.
I was getting kicked under the table in the restaurant last weekend for having a wandering eye. I was looking at the jointing details on the glue-lam beams.

It's unavoidable, if that's your profession. Same with many others. My partner can't go past a building without commenting on the paintwork, finish etc.
Myself, coming from a fine art background, tend to view the world through an invisible 'picture frame'. I also see things in a very abstract way, that others struggle to see or understand.
