My ex-missus once rushed me when i was topping up the oil in my old 3-series (
) and i ended up leaving the oil cap on top of the block. Got about 30miles from home and on a m-way sliproad noticed black/yellowish smoke coming out of the bonnet and a burning oil smell. Pulled over into the hard shoulder and the oilcap was nowhere to be seen and oil had subsequently been splattered all over the engine bay. Good times!
Moral of the story, if your woman is rushing you throw some dirty laundry on the floor to distract her while you do the job properly
