Cheers dom!
Yeah I've got a gearbox plug tool that fits!
I've got a spare set of aum seats if you need some?

Cheers for the offer but I've already got new seats, just no way of screwing them into the manifold properly. I might have to pop over sometime and use it if that's ok?

Hmmm strange. Mine went in far enough to seal the o-ring but the end of the nozzle was sat in a bit so I wanted then further in so they sat flush but the shoulder was in the way.

Ok once again I failed at keepin upto date! Haha
So it's gonna be another reasonably sized one!
I'm not going to lie I've been slacking quite abit over the last 2 months. Mainly due to falling I'll a good few times and also having a couple of holidays while the weather was nice!

But the ball is rolling again :)

Started by getting a cheeky picture of how the bay stood with the old engine in.

Set about trimming the front r32 bumper for the boost pipes.

Then the old engine came out!

I had a service kit with the revised piston arrive for my 007p so fitted that.

Also had a set of 2.0l tfsi coilpack adaptors arrive but I got sent the wrong ones! But I complained and got the correct set for free :) So I have a set for for sale to fit aum/auq style rocker covers haha.

And the correct ones

I set about ripping out all the aircon pipes!

I painted my poly filled engine mounts.

Did a bit more wiring work! Removed a few things that Weren't needed such as aircon etc and wires in my new oem coilpack harness.

Also Ripped out my carbon canister and put a resistor on the plug.

I sent my bumper and modified spoiler to a mate to be painted and they turned out really well!

I then saw a carbon fibre bonnet with lacquer peal come up for sale cheap so I snatched it up and it's currently being sorted by my mate.

I also fitted some braided fuel line, new brake boosted pipe as my old one was split and new coolant line to the top of the bottle.

I then went nearly 2 months without doing anything which brings is to yesterday!
Had a decent 12 hour session in the garage and got quite a bit done!

I started by removing and porting the the old manifold some more. I then fitted the mani and turbo to the new engine

I then cleaned the gearbox abit, switch the clutch over from the old engine, painted the gearbox mount and shifter arm and then fitted the box to the engine.

Got the engine in!!

Then spent hours sorting all the wiring, also fitting the dogbone, coilpacks fuel lines, coolant pipes, etc

I then figured out my boost pipe route and ordered some parts.
I also set about modifying my heatshield to make it fully enclosed. Just needs welding up.

I then took a couple of night shots at the end of the night before I came in!

Next jobs on the list are to finish the heatshield, make up the fmic pipework, fit the oil cooler and then fit brembos and a couple of other small things and then it should be on the road!! :).

Cheers for reading lads!
