I've just tryed my vagcom for the first time, but I can't get it to work can some one tell me how to Load it up and get the fault codes up please thanx ian                 it keeps saying no response from controller

no idea, mine worked right out of the box - i got ryan's working by trying different com ports, i think we went with 4 in the end for his.

Com port 3 is the only one working and then there is loads of other numbers in diferent boxes do u no wot the numbers should be on?

I've just clicked on the oBD-11 button and it says that car is not iso/obd compatible! And says try select-> individual controllers, but I don't no were to do this

the obd2 function is just for generic codes - you use that if you want to pull codes from a non-vag car

it's either something in the connection/port settings or a duff cable

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
