Need Updated Map 2014 Car

Guys,

Not really IT literate to update the sat nav - reason i know is I've had trouble updating the firmware on my dashcam  :sad:

I have a 2014 GTI PP and I've never updated the discovery maps.  Can anyone help? - I'm willing to purchase the sd card and pay for someones assistance at a reasonable fee.  Don't really wan to ask the stealer for an updated sd map card.

Have you checked the German VW website? Use Google Chrome and when you open the page it'll translate for you. Follow the pages to navigation and then follow the instructions. They have a program called discover care that should make it easier to update. If you still struggle you could send me your VW SD card and I'll do it for you.

Thanks mcmaddy - seems simple, now to go and find an Sd card- can you confirm spec required and size? :grin:

If you've got discover navigation and not pro version your supposed to use the card that came with the car.

Further than that, any old sd card will not work. The VW nav cards have protection. They can be obtained on ebay, I believe, but you are better using the card that came with the car.
