Finally fitted my painted black gloss performance pack badge.  I've been meaning to do this for a while (my car whilst being a performance pack was too early to get the red badges) and picked on up on ebay recently.  Painted with Plastikote super gloss spray paint.

Next job is to get a badge skin to bring the red centres back  :smiley:

And here it is... the Black/Red performance pack badge.  I'm tempted to go darker red to match the R/Clubsport tail lights.  Thoughts please ladies and gentlemen...

Nice job M  :wink: for me I like it how you've got it, not sure darker red would look right....maybe you could photoshop your pic to change badge colour and get an idea first?

After 24 hours it's growing on me.  The issue is I have had it solid black for so long it seems really obvious, like I said it's growing on me now.

Finally fitted my rear camera for my Mi-Witness dash cam.

I bought and fitted the cameras to my Mark 6 Golf originally.  It was a nice easy job, the fuse box was easily accessible (simply remove the cover on the end of the dashboard on the driver's side), and no real problems running the wires.  I did the whole job in about an hour and a half.

The Mark 7 seems to have been designed to make simple jobs impossible.  From the location of the fuse box through to the near impossibility of running the cable for the rear camera, and tucking it away out of sight, the interior seems to conspire against you at every step, unless you take out the rear seat and the trim panel below the rear side window (it's a 3-door).

I managed it eventually, but it's not a job that I would volunteer to do again.
